Locksmith in Monarch Lakes, Miramar
Monarch Lakes is a planned community in west Miramar laid out in numbered pods, and some sections inside it have gates of their own — so when you call, tell us your pod or section and how its entrance works. House lockouts there start at $99, a rekey at $99 covers the first lock plus the trip, and we work out the gate before we drive.

What Monarch Lakes is like
- Pods, each with its own name. Home listings name the subdivision by pod — "Pod 8 at Monarch Lakes" on SW 135th Avenue (listing) and "Pod 13 at Monarch Lakes" on SW 142nd Avenue (listing), both in ZIP 33027.
- The Vineyards is a gated section inside Monarch Lakes with about 175 homes, controlled access, and HOA fees that typically cover running the gate (Echo Fine Properties).
- Built mostly in the late 1990s and early 2000s, per the same source. An impact-window installer dates the plat to 1996 and counts about 2,219 homes (Republic Window).
- Association sign-off. That installer also says planned communities like this one usually want the association to approve the color and style of a new door or window.
- ZIP 33027 neighbors. Vizcaya Park (14200 SW 55th Street) and the amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park (16801 Miramar Parkway) share the ZIP (City of Miramar parks), handy landmarks when you tell us where to meet you.
- Groceries on the Parkway. Shoppes at Monarch Lakes, the Publix-anchored center at 14305 Miramar Parkway in 33027 (Nuveen), shares the community's name. Keys locked in the car on a grocery run there? Name the store entrance you're closest to.
- Getting here by highway. Miramar Parkway is the only I-75 exit in the city, Exits 7A and 7B (AARoads).
Locksmith jobs we expect here, and why
- Rekeys after a sale or between renters. Houses from this period mostly have ordinary residential cylinders that take new pins without trouble, so new hardware is rarely needed. See rekey and new homeowners.
- Lockouts, often at the front door with the garage remote locked inside too.
- Keypad and smart-lock resets where an owner added one later or bought a remodeled home: codes wiped, unknown app users removed, the backup cylinder rekeyed (smart locks).
- Patio sliders and pool doors. After two decades, rollers wear down and the hook stops reaching its keeper (sliding-door locks, pool latches).
- Townhome entry hardware. Before swapping a visible handle set, ask the association which finish and style it allows. A rekey changes nothing anyone can see.
Getting through the gate
The vendor-entry rules for Monarch Lakes gates aren't published anywhere we could find, so we ask you three things:
- Is there a guard, a call box, or a kiosk that scans a driver's license?
- Can you add our name to the guest list or visitor app?
- Will your phone be on, in case the gate calls you to approve us? The technician keeps his driver's license handy for scanner gates.

Questions
Same prices as the rest of Miramar?
Yes, the same list day and night, east or west.
Do I need HOA approval for a rekey?
No. The lock looks exactly as it did; only the pins inside change.
Which side of the Turnpike is Monarch Lakes on?
The west, newer side. Our east-or-west guide explains what that usually means for your locks.
Can you fix the community gate itself?
No — the gate, its remotes and its stickers belong to the association. We handle your own doors, locks and keys.
