Miramar Park of Commerce

The city calls it the largest commerce park in the region, and it includes a foreign trade zone (City of Miramar). It holds about 5 million square feet of office, lab and distribution space and roughly 180 employers (Florida Trend). With that many suites and bays, tenants come and go — and every move-out leaves keys nobody can account for.

Miramar is also an office town beyond the park: Spirit Airlines has had its headquarters here since 1999 (Wikipedia), and Florida Trend lists Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Comcast, DHL and American Express among the city's employers.

What we do for businesses

Anything wired — card readers, electric strikes, access panels — needs a licensed low-voltage contractor, and we refer it out.

Prices by job

Job Starting price Common total
First lock rekeyed, trip included $99 —
Each further lock that visit $45 $45–60
New standard lock, fitted $145 $145–275
Keypad lock fitted (labor) $165 $165–265
Mortise, storefront, panic bar or closer quoted from a photo —
Master key system written quote —
Office or warehouse lockout $99 $99–164

What moves the total: commercial-grade parts, mortise cylinders, restricted keyways, the number of doors and key levels in a master system, and impact-rated commercial doors — certain commercial locksets hold a Miami-Dade NOA of their own (Security Sales & Integration), and any replacement must be the hardware that door's approval names (impact-door locks).

A suite turnover, step by step

  1. Walk the space. We list every door, the cylinder type and who needs into which room.
  2. Agree the key plan in writing: who gets the top key, who gets room keys.
  3. Rekey or swap cylinders on site; no door leaves its frame.
  4. Label and log the keys, with a sign-out sheet you keep.
  5. Test exits and closers so every exit still opens from inside without a key.

Moving into a new space in Miramar

A commercial location needs a Certificate of Use before the city issues its Business Tax Receipt (City of Miramar). Put the locks on that same list — rekey the day you get the keys. Check your lease, too: it may say who owns the locks and whether the landlord needs a key.

Who can authorize the work

The business owner, a manager with company ID, or the property manager in writing. For a lockout, we'll also need something that ties you to the suite.
