Locksmith in Silver Lakes, Miramar
Silver Lakes is one master association with 39 sub-associations (Wilder Real Estate Group), so the first thing we'll ask is which one you're in — that tells us how the gate works. After that, a lockout here starts at $99 and a four-lock rekey costs $234, the same as anywhere else in Miramar.

About Silver Lakes
- Many associations under one name. Crystal Shores, Coconut Shores and Misty Harbor are three of the 39; every owner belongs to the master association and to a sub-association (Wilder, above).
- Gated. A local brokerage lists Silver Lakes with Monarch Lakes, Vizcaya and Nautica among Miramar's gated communities (Landmark Signature Realty).
- Early-1990s houses. The middle half of homes sold in 2025–26 were built between 1993 and 1996 (Wilder).
- Amenity access by app. The community pool opens through a smart-device app (Wilder) — that's run by the association, not by a locksmith.
- Renters need paperwork. Tenants need an association-approved lease on file to get access (Wilder).
- West of the Turnpike, in the newer half of the city — see our east-or-west guide.
- Same side of town as Vizcaya Park on SW 55th Street, the Miramar Regional Park amphitheater (City of Miramar parks) and Memorial Hospital Miramar — so a car lockout there gets the same planning as one at home.
How we get through your gate
- Tell us your sub-association when you call.
- Add our name to the guest list or app, or ring the guard house.
- Keep your phone on in case the gate checks with you.
- If the gate can't reach you, we call you from the entrance.
Common jobs here, and why
- Move-in rekeys. Locks from the mid-1990s generally take new pins without fuss, so most buyers don't need new hardware (new homeowners).
- Lockouts — gate plan first, then the door, picked or bypassed before anything harsher.
- Sliders onto the pool deck or the lake. After three decades, worn rollers let the panel sink until the latch misses (sliding-door locks).
- Pool-gate latches that no longer swing shut and catch on their own (pool latches).
- The garage-to-house door, often fitted with only a knob lock — worth a deadbolt (lock change).
- Keypad deadbolts for families who'd rather not carry keys (smart locks).

Photo ID with your Silver Lakes address, or a deed or utility bill. Tenants: your lease, and your landlord's OK before changing anything.
Questions
Do you need my HOA's approval to rekey?
No — rekeying changes nothing on the outside of the door.
The pool uses an app, not a key. Can you help with that?
No. Amenity access belongs to the association; call its office.
I rent here. Can you rekey for me?
With the owner's written OK, yes, and we'll cut a key for the owner too.
¿Hablan español?
