Car Lockout in Miramar, FL
Opening a locked car in Miramar costs from $89, most jobs total $89–154, and 3 a.m. is billed the same as noon. We use proper car-entry tools — an air wedge and a long-reach rod — so the paint, the weatherstrip and the wiring inside the door stay as they were.
Child or pet inside on a warm day? 911 first.

Where Miramar lockouts happen
- Memorial Hospital Miramar, 1901 SW 172nd Ave, runs a 24/7 emergency room for adults and children (Memorial Healthcare System). Locked out in its lot at 3 a.m.? Same price as the daytime list. Tell us which lot and the nearest entrance.
- Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway — 173 acres with a 5,000-seat amphitheater (Visit Lauderdale). On concert nights the lots empty fast; call as soon as you notice, and note a light pole or row.
- Miramar Square, with Kohl's, Sprouts and Orangetheory (Kite Realty). Give us the store you're parked closest to.
- The two west-side Publix centers. Shoppes at Monarch Lakes sits at 14305 Miramar Parkway (Nuveen), and the Shops at Sunset Lakes at Miramar Parkway and SW 184th Avenue (Phillips Edison). Both sit on Miramar Parkway, so name the one you're at.
- Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, with its 800-seat theater (Broward County Public Schools). A show lets out all at once, so call from the lot before it empties.
- Hotels. Miramar's SpringHill Suites, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard and Home2 Suites (Visit Lauderdale, above) host plenty of business travelers in rental cars — see the rental note below.
- Ansin Sports Complex at 10801 Miramar Boulevard, with its track and cricket cages (City of Miramar parks), and Broward College's Miramar West Center at 1930 SW 145th Avenue (Broward College) — students locked out after an evening class.
- Off I-75. Miramar Parkway (Exits 7A/7B) is the interstate's one Miramar exit (AARoads). If you've pulled off there, tell us which side of the interchange and the business you're parked at.
- School lots at Miramar High and Everglades High, the city's two public high schools (City of Miramar), after a game or a late pickup.
- Your own driveway, behind your community's gate — add us to the guest list while you wait. Gate notes for Silver Lakes and Monarch Lakes are on their own pages.
What it costs
| Situation | Starting price | Common total |
|---|---|---|
| Keys locked inside, standard car | $89 | $89–154 |
| Keys lost, new key needed | $165 | $165–365 |
Inside the $89–154 range: a few models with extra door security, keys locked in a trunk with no inside release, or a truck with an aftermarket alarm take longer. We tell you on the call if your car is one of them. A "$29 lockout" ad that becomes several times that at the car is a well-known trick — our number is the one you hear on the phone.
How we open it
- On the phone: year, make, model, where you are, and whether you can see the keys.
- The price, plus when we'll pull up — around 20 minutes is normal within Miramar.
- At the car: the technician shows his ID.
- Entry: the wedge opens a small gap at the door's top corner, and the rod presses the unlock button or lifts the handle. No slim-jim tools inside the door, where modern cars keep airbag parts and wiring.
- Ownership check: your ID against the registration or rental papers — they can be in the glove box; we check them right after opening.
- You start the car, then pay.
Have ready
Year, make and model; exactly where you're parked; and a photo ID whose name is on the registration or the rental contract.
Questions
Will the alarm go off?
It may. It stops as soon as the key is in your hand.
It's a rental car. Call the rental company's roadside number first. If it tells you to use a local locksmith, have the agreement ready.
My keys are locked in the trunk. We open a door first, then use the trunk release inside. No release? We price that before driving.
The keys aren't in the car at all. Then the car needs a new key, cut and programmed on the spot: car keys & fobs.
